mental marginalia: august edition

Amanda DeNatale was born in Queens, raised on Long Island, and lives in Brooklyn. In May she completed her MFA in poetry at The New School. She was awarded the American Society of Poet’s Prize in 2014. She’s the associate editor for Scholastic ART, a classroom magazine that brings art history to life in middle and high school visual arts programs. Her hobbies include drinking cheap beer on the beach and quoting The Office and/or Virginia Woolf in most conversation.

Sasha Smith is a literature and creative writing student at NYU. Her work has previously appeared in NYU’s Literary Journal: Dovetail, and CUNY Bronx Community College’s Journal: Thesis. Sasha is a native New Yorker and was born/raised in the Bronx where she runs the Bronx Blaqlist, a community organization that hosts and promotes local artistic events.

George Kovalenko received his MFA from New York University. His poetry has most recently appeared in At Length. He is the Co-Founder and Poetry Editor of Poet’s Country and teaches writing and literature at CUNY College of Staten Island, SUNY Westchester, and Union County College.
